Author Bio

David Barras-Baker is an experienced learning architect, business developer, and lifelong innovator with over four decades in the eLearning and talent management arena.

His career has taken him across three continents and through a rich tapestry of roles, from corporate leadership to entrepreneurial ventures. Along the way, he has designed learning strategies for global brands, spearheaded large-scale training projects, and developed digital solutions that bridge the gap between theory and practical application.

With a Graduate Diploma in Management (Learning) and a background in both technology and education, David has an eye for systems thinking and a knack for simplifying complexity. His work blends the structured rigour of instructional design with the agility of modern business practices, always with a focus on measurable results.

ADDIE on Steroids represents the culmination of years of refining and stress-testing the ADDIE model in real-world environments. David’s unique approach integrates artificial intelligence into every phase, turning a proven methodology into a supercharged framework for today’s fast-moving learning landscape.

When he’s not architecting learning ecosystems or building out high-performance project teams, David can be found sharing ideas with his global network, experimenting with new technologies, or adding to his growing collection of practical strategies for making learning stick. His style is straight-talking, solutions-focused, and fuelled by the belief that learning should be both purposeful and actionable.
